Ahead of the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Activision/Blizzard and Wenderfalck created a sick day grant, a campaign that let dedicated fans apply for a fictional grant to skip work and go incognito on launch day. To qualify, fans had to complete three Call of Duty-inspired missions through a campaign website, supported by gaming profiles, social media, and traditional media. The campaign reached 18 million people and received over 800 applications from Swedish gamers ready to ghost their boss on launch day. We were brought in as a development partner to build the campaign website, helping turn the concept into an interactive digital experience for fans.
